Hello, we're all just back from ICBA in Scottsdale. I know I had fun and I am still a bit worn out by the experience. I'm excited about what I learned and more hopeful for our industry.
As we wrapped up the last day with our presentations, there was a suggestion and some discussion about how we could continue the collaborative efforts from the conference. There was concern expressed that once we go home, much of our newly acquired knowledge, and more importantly, enthusiasm would dwindle and fade into our collective forgotten past.
We discussed the possibilities of creating some sort of blog to continue the discussion and to provide a place where we could let others from our group share in their successes. I thought I would just go ahead and create this blog in an effort to support this idea.
My hope in creating this blog is that it will somehow gain traction and that all of you will be enthusiastically willing to post content. Please feel free to post thoughts, ideas, problems and successes. As we all do so, we can be a support group for new ideas and celebrate successes together. We can also continue to strengthen bonds as colleagues in our industry.
If you haven't received an invitation to participate, and would like to do so, please feel free to contact me directly and I will set you up.
It was a pleasure meeting all of you in Scottsdale. The weather was beautiful and the learning opportunities were exceptional. Let's keep this ball rolling. Speaking for myself, I hope to keep my connection to each of you strong and to keep my ability to continue learning from each of you intact.
Thanks!
